TNW Conference 2024 - Travel Guide

Location

Taets Art and Event Park is just over 10 kilometers from Amsterdam city center. To ensure that you travel to our venue with ease, we have arranged several modes of transportation.

For your convenience and ease, we have arranged a free ferry service from Amsterdam Central Station and free shuttle buses from Zaandam Central Station to the venue and back. Alternatively, you can take public transport at your own expense. If you live outside of Amsterdam, we always recommend taking the train to Zaandam Central Station and making use of our shuttle service.

Below you’ll find more information about traveling to the venue.

Free ferry service

You can hop on one of our boats, which will take you to the venue free of charge. The pick-up location is next to Amsterdam Central Station at SUPPER cruise, as shown in the picture on the right. The boat journey from there to our conference site is approximately 45 minutes.

Unfortunately, you can’t take your bike on the boat. Upon arrival, you’ll see signs leading you to the venue. The boat will arrive close to Lab 44 in Zaandam, and will also depart from there when going back to Amsterdam. You can now find the schedule here.

Alternatively, you can take the ferry from Hempont to the venue.

Shuttle bus service

Our shuttle bus service will run to and from Zaandam Central Station to the venue free of charge. They will run constantly, and when buses are full they leave as frequently as every 10-15 minutes. Just follow the signage from Qpark parking and Zaandam Central Station to the shuttle departure point. On Thursday, the busses will run from 07:00-19:00 and on Friday, they will run from 07:00-22:00.

Qpark pick-up location: Hermitage 144, 1506 TX Zaandam.

Station Zaandam pick-up location: At the Provincialeweg, in front of the Station, near the City Hall.

Public transport

Board the train for a 10 minute ride to Station Zaandam. From there, take one of our free shuttle buses, or take the public bus 63 in the direction of Assendelft via Zuiderhout, or bus 456 in the direction of Assendelft Station Krommenie-Assendelft.

If you take bus 63, disembark at Pieter Ghijsenlaan, and walk 10 minutes in the southern direction towards the ferry terminal. Go left and follow the signs to TNW Conference.

If you take bus 456, disembark at Hemkade. TNW Conference will be right before your eyes!

Please note that using public transport such as trains or the public buses are at your own expense.

Arriving by car

If you’re traveling by car, we have a parking garage located near the venue, at Qpark Hermitage. From there you can take a 6-minute bus shuttle to the venue free of charge. Exact timetables and more information will be shared closer to the event.
