Lights, camera, action! We kicked off TNW Conference 2024 with a grand opening featuring the Founder & Chairman of TNW, Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten. Sophia Velastegui, former General Manager, AI Products at Microsoft and Chief Product Officer at Aptiv, led a captivating session exploring the complexities of AI's multimodality. Drawing on her extensive experience at tech giants like Microsoft and Google, she illuminated the intricacies of integrating text, sound, and image data into AI frameworks. Attendees gained valuable insights into the diverse techniques and models that empower AI to sense, hear, and see the nuances of the human world.
Pitch Battle winner!
Congratulations to ExoMatter for taking the crown at our Pitch Battle finals! Our panel of investors, industry leaders, and media were thoroughly impressed by their compelling and influential presentation, which undoubtedly sealed the deal. Plaça de Barcelona
Wow, what an activation! This 16 tonnes dome transported us directly to the streets of Barcelona. Through the immersive experience, we got to enjoy some of the most iconic sights of the city such as the views from Parc Güell, the soaring towers of the Sagrada Familia and of course the Mediterranean coastline. Be sure to catch this activation tomorrow for Day 2.
The Assembly
In collaboration with the Financial Times, The Assembly brought together government leaders, policymakers, corporates, and founders together at TNW Conference, to find common ground that balances regulation and innovation. With the European Parliament elections fresh in mind, attendees engaged in critical discussions shaping the next European policy agenda for innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology.
Tech Tours
What an incredible 6 tours over the two days of the conference! We got the chance to uncover the incredible innovations from different companies, including Mendix and Lucid during the SaaS tour.
Aiming for sustainability
TNW Conference is one of the first conferences in The Netherlands to use reusable tableware and utensils thanks to our catering partnership with The Food Line Up. All of the utensils, cups, plates, and packaging at our event are reusable in the effort to minimise our waste and carbon footprint.
