TNW2019 Daily: Explore the conference terrain

TNW2019 Daily: Explore the conference terrain

There are only 13 days left until TNW Conference. The number 13 is officially lucky because today is the day you can see the detailed terrain map!

My face when I first saw this work of art:

Spot the gorilla

I can’t begin to explain how much this map excites me. It’s a first glimpse of what the energy will be like on May 9 and 10, and there’s simply so much to do. From our very own TNW Beach to the Expo Floor, there’s a lot to explore. Check out our location page to see the map.

The 💜 of EU tech

The latest rumblings from the EU tech scene, a story from our wise ol' founder Boris, and some questionable AI art. It's free, every week, in your inbox. Sign up now!

You can zoom in on this labelled version to find out the location of your favorite tracks and speakers, scope out the best place to pee, locate the nearest food stalls for when you get dangerously hangry, or just admire the sheer beauty of this masterpiece.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a TNW Conference map without a little Easter egg. Last year, we included Star Wars cameos on the terrain. This year, we’ve drawn a gorilla. Can you find her? I’ve named her Judith.

Speaker spotlight: Emanuele Madeddu

How can brands build communities and start movements? Creating a strong brand ethos can be very rewarding, but it’s hard to get it right. It has to feel like a natural step, and come from a sincere place.

A great example of a brand that successfully embodies an ethos is National Geographic. With a focus on the beauty of nature and humanity, it was a natural step to align their brand with the fight against global warming.

Their Executive Vice President of Global Brand Strategy, Emanuele Madeddu, will talk about how he develops strategies and award-winning multimedia campaigns on the Re:Brand track. Don’t miss his TNW2019 talk!

That concludes today’s TNW2019 Daily. Tune in tomorrow for more TNW Conference highlights, and make sure to catch up on previous editions right here.
