Today, we’re launching Hard Fork: a brand new TNW-powered blog all about cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and the people behind them.
You might have noticed the uptick in our articles about blockchain-related topics in the past months. This wasn’t simply because of the cryptocurrency mania that was sweeping the world – although that was admittedly exciting – but because the space was just rife with great stories.
There were huge – and obvious – scams that left people penniless, but somehow still convinced their fortune would turn. There were charismatic blockchain creators that developed cult-like followings of dogmatic believers. There were makers coming up with creative and insane solutions to mine whatever cryptocurrency they could get their hands on.
Now the hype has somewhat faded, but stories continue to develop and pop up. Governments all over the globe are starting to regulate – or deregulate – cryptocurrency initiatives, old-timey corporates are hopping on board en masse – sometimes without their own knowledge, and blockchain is either a new bulwark against diversity, or a fresh start with huge opportunities.
I’m convinced this source won’t dry up in the future. The blockchain inflationary period gave birth to an expanding universe of ideas, startups, and technologies that will certainly have some influence, somewhere, on someone. It’s just the question what kind, where, and who.
That’s what Hard Fork is here to explore. The channel will offer in-depth profiles and features on developments and people in this exciting realm. It will bring short news on cryptocurrency madness, and the way governments are grappling with regulation of a new type of asset. And last, but certainly not least, we’ll publish critiques and analysis of companies, creators, and their hardcore followers.
This is the first time we’ve launched a separate blog under the TNW flag, and we intend to make it count. For this reason, we partnered with eToro, a social trading platform that will not only provide financial support, but also invaluable insight into the complex world of trading.
We’re also looking into new ways to connect with and listen to our audience. Stay tuned in to our upcoming Facebook group, our blockchain-focused Answers sessions, our brand new newsletter, our Telegram channel, and Hard Fork’s Twitter @hardfork.
On top of that, we’d invite anyone with a good idea, tip, or top-secret leaks to send Hard Fork’s editor Mix a message: Either on Telegram as @Mixtatic, via email on dimitar@tnw.co, or DM him on Twitter.
We’re looking forward to getting even deeper into this crazy, fascinating domain of tech with you, and I really hope that feeling is mutual.
