Udacity is introducing a brand new intro to iOS course for those starting form absolute scratch. Additionally, the existing iOS Developer Nanodegree is being updated to Swift 2.0.
The course arrived shortly after Apple announced Swift at WWDC 2014. The language saw quite a few upgrades over time, leaving some of the content in Udacity’s course a bit behind. Videos for the main program are still being updated to swift 2.0, but Udacity is making quick work of it.
Before the new introductory course, students were redirected to other Udacity content. The aim was to get students thinking about the principles of writing code, but left them learning about Python before diving into Swift.
With the new intro to iOS course and an updated Swift 2.0 lesson plan for the iOS Nanodegree program, students who want to learn about iOS development are on a linear fast-track to success.
Enrollment for both is now open, so get to learnin’!
