At Silicon Valley accelerator SSE labs I caught up with mobile gaming company Eggaduppa which has a unique model of gaming where you play against other users remotely in a specific time frame.
Eggaduppa will give you say, $1000 up front and the amount will continually decrease over the next month, but you can stop the cash slipping through your fingers the more you play/win points and spend time on the game. If Eggaduppa move in the right direction they could be onto something big, imagine getting paid to play Angry Birds all day? Sounds like a dream job to me.
