Meta launched Pocket in the US, and the app it came from shut down the same day
Meta has rolled out Pocket nationwide, an app that turns prompts into small interactive posts called gizmos. It came from the team behind Gizmo, which Meta hired in March and whose original app was wound down on the day Pocket launched.

Alice raises $140mn to stress-test the models Anthropic and Google ship
Alice, the Israeli firm that red-teams models for Anthropic, Google and Cohere, has raised $140mn led by Apax Digital. Its own announcement gives no valuation. According to Bloomberg it is worth close to $1bn, while Israeli outlets put it at $700mn to $800mn.

Ode, the $1.5 billion company Anthropic set up with Blackstone to sell AI implementation, has acquired Casper Studios. It is the second consultancy Ode has absorbed since May, and the announcement gives no price.

Brazil fines TikTok’s owner $29.9m over children’s data, including guest sessions
Brazil's National Data Protection Agency fined ByteDance 153.7 million reais on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press, and found that TikTok processed children's data without a lawful basis in logged-out browsing as well as in accounts.
