The G3, LG’s new flagship smartphone, will go on sale worldwide from June 27 — this coming Friday — beginning in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines, the company has announced.

The next phase will see the device reach Asia, Europe, the Middle East and other regions at various points in July. The device has been available to customers in LG’s native Korea since last month — the company says the phone has made a “strong debut,” but it did not provide specific sales figures.

We put the device through its paces in May and were impressed by its solid camera performance, sleek design and an impeccable display, but noted that the battery could drain when multi-tasking. Nonetheless, we think the 5.5-inch device is a very worthy addition to the market.
