Welcome to CHEAP, our brand-new series about things that are good, but most of all, cheap. CHEAP!
I love Apple laptops. The devices have gotten some bad press recently (mainly due to keyboard issues), but they are still my go to device for, well, almost anything. If you’re on the hunt for a new machine from the technology giant, now might be the time. Why? Because you can now get a refurbished Apple Macbook for $929 – a full $370.99 less than it’s being sold for on Apple’s own website.
Be quick though, the deal is only running for a limited time. As of writing, there’s under 18 hours left.
This 2017 model is a beautiful and slimline machine. While my 2014 Macbook Pro is still going strong, a couple of my friends picked up the machine that’s on offer and I got pretty jealous. It’s sleek, works perfectly, and has a long battery life.
The specs you can get on this deal are:
- 12-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit display
- 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core M3-7Y32 processor
- 256GB SSD
- 8GB of RAM
- Intel HD Graphics 615 processor
It’s important to reiterate that this is a refurbished machine. It has been tested to ensure it works at peak performance and Amazon will give you a 90-day warranty. The device also comes with a one year Apple warranty. Basically, the only difference between this and a machine directly from the company is that it’s not eligible for AppleCare.
As I’m sure many people will point out, Apple machines aren’t for everyone. You can get devices with better specs for lower prices – that’s inarguable. But, personally, each Apple laptop I’ve owned has lasted me years and I’ve loved them to bits.
If you need a new machine, don’t mind getting something refurbished, and just adore Apple products, getting $370 off the retail price of a Macbook is excellent. Be quick though, this deal will end soon.
