You’ll have to pre-order your Apple Watch online, Apple confirms

You’ll have to pre-order your Apple Watch online, Apple confirms

Apple has today confirmed that pre-orders for the Apple Watch will take place exclusively online in most parts of the world.

We knew pre-orders kicked off tomorrow, but today’s announcement makes no mention of an in-store option – just via its website or via the Apple Store app for iOS. The only exception is “select Apple Authorized Resellers in China and Japan.”

However, you will be able to try on an Apple Watch via appointment in physical Apple Stores in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US from tomorrow, April 10. Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Isetan in Tokyo, Selfridges in London, and those ‘select Apple Authorized Resellers in Japan and China’ will also be offering try-ons.

The Watch goes on sale on April 24.
