Twitter is rolling out a new feature to its iPhone and Android apps that shows the number of retweets, replies and favorites that tweets in your timeline have gotten.

There’s no indication yet on whether this will arrive on the Web version, but Twitter has at times used its mobile apps as a testbed before rolling out to the desktop.
At first glance, Twitter adding in stats for tweets feels like it will introduce peer pressure to favoriting or retweeting posts, but it should also help users have a better understanding of the virality of certain tweets.
