SpaceXAI is weighing a plan to fold Grok and X into a single subscription with four price tiers, from free to $100 a month. The plan comes from a company document viewed by Bloomberg, whose Edward Ludlow reported it on Wednesday.
SpaceXAI is the artificial intelligence unit of Elon Musk’s SpaceX. It makes the Grok chatbot and runs X, formerly Twitter. The overhaul is still under consideration, Bloomberg said, but the company plans to offer it soon.
The four tiers
The free tier keeps Grok with stricter usage limits. A new $8 a month “lite” plan adds Grok access, a verified checkmark and fewer ads on X.
At the top, a $100 a month “Ultra” tier is aimed at power users. It includes Grok Bot, the AI agent SpaceXAI launched in August. Bloomberg’s report does not describe the fourth tier.
A crowded price ladder
The move comes as rivals rework their own plans. OpenAI halved usage on its $200 Pro plan this week and added a $500 ChatGPT plan. Meta launched Meta One subscriptions worldwide this month, priced from $2.99 to $499 a month.
SpaceXAI is competing with Anthropic and OpenAI to sign up more business customers, Bloomberg reported.
