If you’ve been poking around Twitter.com today, you probably noticed a couple new buttons on the site. Twitter announced today that it has updated the look of its Web profile pages to include sizable “Tweet to” and “Message”buttons.

The buttons replace the “Tweet to” text box from an earlier profile design. Since they match your profile color, they can stick out a bit. I’m sure we’ll get used to the buttons eventually, but the change is jarring.

Other updates to Twitter profiles today include a new Web font that should help speed and readability and new profile color choices.
