TwitchCon is shaping up to showcase the best aspects of the growing livestream gaming trend, and its most recent announcement about the event shows that it’s keen on bringing plenty of action to its exhibits.

Most excitingly, TwitchCon will hold competitions for a variety of games — harkening to Twitch’s roots in fame as a hub for eSports activity. Included in the program is a ‘Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft’ competition between Twitch CEO and founder Emmet Shear and Blizzard president and co-founder Mike Morhaime.

There will also be an exhibition match of ‘Super Smash Bros.’ between the Twitch office and Red Bull to choose the location of the companies’ tournament for the game — which sports a $10,000 prize pool.

For more serious eSports fans, TwitchCon is also the site of an invitational for zombie survival MMO ‘H1Z1,’ with a prize pool currently sitting at $142,534. The battle-royale tournament will include popular Twitch personalities as well as four selected gamers who competed to earn a slot in the competition.

There are also other competitions and giveaways scattered throughout the event’s program, including a ‘Rock Band’ Battle of the Bands and a showing of Video Game Championship Wrestling, which is basically WWE for the gamer crowd.

Additionally, VR will play a big part in the exhibits at TwitchCon. Both HTC and Oculus will be in the building with the HTC Vive and the SamsungGear VR, respectively. Convention-goers will have the opportunity to experience demos from both products, as well as upcoming games.

TwitchCon will take place in San Francisco on September 25 and 26.
