The new Apple TV is now up for pre-order, just as Tim Cook promised it would be.
For those who want express shipping, the Apple TV can arrive as soon as October 30. If you choose regular shipping, it’ll arrive somewhere between November 2-4.
The latest Apple TV is a pretty healthy refresh, bringing in a Siri-enabled remote and home automation functionality (HomeKit). That remote also has an accelerometer for gaming, and the interface has been refreshed to make browsing your TV more like a mobile device. There’s also chatter that Apple is actively working on a subscription TV model, much like Sling TV has.
If you’re not into the new Apple TV, the company is still selling its legacy model for $69. The new model will run you $149 for a 32GB model, and $199 for a 64GB version.
