Supersize Your Clipboard with ClipDoubler

Supersize Your Clipboard with ClipDoubler

ClipDoubler is a Mac OS X app that enhances the functionality of the built in Mac clipboard.

We all know how a clipboard works. You copy some stuff (usually text) and it is stored temporarily in the clipboard before you paste into another screen or app. As soon as you copy another snippet of data, the previously stored information is deleted to store the new one. While not very efficient, for most of the day to day tasks, this limited functionality is more than enough.

If you are someone who copies a lot of stuff for work, research etc., pasting the content into a document every single time might not be the most efficient way of getting things done. That’s where ClipDoubler comes in.

ClipDoubler pastes content you copy into a new clipboard everytime, as long as the app is open. That way you can just focus on the research and not maintaining a document. Copy some stuff and you can see the content in its original format in a dedicated clipboard of its own. Simple as that.

You can save clipboards that are important to the local disk and access them just like any other document store locally. ClipDoubler supports text, pictures, sounds, movies and many other formats. You can also search for content stored across all open clipboards with ease. An option to edit the contents of a clipboard is available as well.

Have too many clipboards open? Use the Tile and Stack options to bring all the open clipboards to focus. The app also supports user created hot keys for common clipboard editing tasks.

Full version of the app costs $4.99 and supports unlimited clipboards. Both the lite and full versions of ClipDoubler are available for download in the Mac App Store.
