Startup Stories is a series of short documentaries about TechStars companies hosted exclusively by The Next Web.
This time, we’re taking a look at Everlater, a startup founded by two childhood friends from TechStars’ home city of Boulder, Colorado. We follow them through well-paying jobs on Wall Street, through a spell traveling the world and on to the foundation of their startup.
Everlater learned a lot on their journey – particularly how a product is nothing if the business model doesn’t stack up. After pivoting into a B2B model, Everlater got acquired by AOL to become MapQuest Travel Blogs. The video brings the story up to date, and we find out how they’ve settled in within a corporate behemoth.
Sit back and watch… and don’t miss Startup Stories episode 1 and episode 2.
