Two new videos have emerged showing the impressive auto-focus capability of the new Xperia Arc Android smartphone from Sony Ericsson, giving users a good idea of what they can expect when the device launches in a few weeks time.

The videos demonstrate the Arc’s HD camera, utilising the handset’s continuous auto-focus feature which is able reduce fuzziness as a user records movies and ensure the important aspects of a scene are captured. The auto-focus can’t match a high-specced DSLR or a camcorder but the results are much better than most smartphones, especially devices that run Android.

Take a look. To us, the auto-focus here is as good, if not better, than the iPhone 4:
