Pokemon Go update will keep players coming back with fresh daily bonuses

Pokemon Go update will keep players coming back with fresh daily bonuses

While Pokemon Go hit the scene with a big bang when it initially launched, it has been struggling to retain its user base since then – and now creator Niantic is working on a fresh update that will give players new incentive to keep coming back.

In a blog post, the creator of the smash-hit augmented reality game announced plans to introduce a new daily bonus feature that will reward returning players with extra points.

Here’s how Niantic described the upcoming update:

Trainers will soon be able to receive a bonus for certain daily activities, including catching a Pokémon or visiting a Pokestop once a day. You’ll earn a larger bonus if you do this seven days in a row!

While catching a Pokemon every day will earn you a bonus of 500 XP and 600 Stardust, visiting a Pokestop every day for seven days straight will entitle you to a 2,000 XP bonus as well as a bunch of additional in-game items.

Niantic has recently introduced a slew of new features in an effort to lure new trainers and keep its most loyal players entertained. The game-maker also hosted a special in-game event on Halloween that turned out to be a huge success.

There’s no word on when the update will roll out, but chances are it’ll come sooner rather than later.

Check out Niantic’s full statement here for more details on how to claim the daily bonus.
