MH Ventures and Mapleblock Capital co-lead $3M investment in Oro to scale agentic finance

TL;DR

Oro has raised $3M co-led by MH Ventures and Mapleblock Capital to scale its agentic finance platform, which converts natural-language instructions into non-custodial DeFi transactions. The platform has 350,000+ active users across 80+ languages, with campaigns alongside Avalanche and Ondo Finance. Its Shield Engine keeps users’ keys local while wallet compromises accounted for $444M in Web3 losses in H1 2026.

For the better half of the last three years, the prevalence of AI in finance had been largely relegated to a chatbot bolted onto a dashboard. Its capabilities were limited to simple explanations and not direct action (such as executing transactions, placing sell orders, etc) but all that has changed recently because by the end Q1 2026, it was reported that a majority of organizations had actively deployed AI agents for their day to day finance operations, ones that were historically handled by humans.

And, it’s not that the agents themselves have gotten exponentially smarter or the technology as a whole has taken a massive leap but rather the gap between instruction and action has collapsed. Instead of clicking through menus, a user can simply state an outcome and let a system work out the how. That is the lane Oro has been working in and advancing before the term “agentic finance” became a standard pitch-deck phrase.

Oro, which is actively turning plain-language financial instructions into multi-step, non-custodial transactions, announced a $3 million strategic round co-led by MH Ventures and Mapleblock Capital, joined by M2M Capital, Archer Capital, X21 Digital, and returning backers Disrupt.com and ZIG Labs. The raise brings Oro’s total funding to $4 million.

Real Usage, Not Just a Roadmap, and the Numbers Prove It

Over the past year or so, Oro has onboarded more than 350,000 unique active users across over 80 languages, helped along by an education campaign with Avalanche that logged over 250,000 verified completions, and a campaign with Ondo Finance that pulled in more than 50,000 completions in its first 24 hours alone.

Trust is the harder problem, and it is where the firm’s non-custodial framing posturing has come to the forefront. To elaborate, wallet compromises accounted for roughly $444 million in Web3 losses through the first half of this year, more than any other attack category (despite being far less frequent than code-level exploits). In that regard, every Oro execution requires the user’s own signature so that nothing moves without an explicit permission.

Also worth mentioning is that the aforementioned $3 million coffer has been earmarked across four areas, i.e. expanding the company’s Shield Engine and natural-language execution stack, scaling global user acquisition, building compliance frameworks around what Oro calls policy-guarded autonomous custody, and growing engineering and business-development teams for enterprise integrations. On the development, Varun Choudhary, Oro’s co-founder and CEO, opined:

We are witnessing a monumental shift toward intent-based execution. Real, sustainable product-market fit backed by hundreds of thousands of active users will always attract top-tier institutional capital.

Crafting an Agentic Future For The Finance Industry

Per Choudhary and his team the next 6 to 12 months are going to be crucial given that Oro is aiming to amass a 10 million strong userbase while simultaneously doling out native iOS and Android apps. Not only that, the team is also looking at deeper integrations across protocols including Morpho, Kamino, Lido, Aave, Uniswap, and Raydium. Interesting times ahead, to say the least.
