Today seems to be announce new features day at Microsoft.
The Hotmail team talked about new features they have in store and now we have the Office team is introducing a useful feature – the ability to embed documents. Google Docs has had this for a long time and it was only a matter of time when Microsoft would enable this.
While the feature seems to be rolling out (I don’t have it, yet), here’s an example of the embedded presentations and Excel sheets:
Holly Thomas fro the Office team has listed some improvements to Office Web Apps that include:
- Inserting Charts to Excel
- Clip arts & Themes for PowerPoint
- Printing from the Edit mode of Word and not just the View mode
Office Web Apps has now been expanded to 7 more countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Russia, and Switzerland.
