With its payments-enabled wearable, Jawbone’s got an affordable competitor to the Apple Watch in the arena, whose Watch allows for cashless transactions too. The UP4 will go on sale on the company’s site this summer.

In addition, Jawbone has also launched its UP2 tracker. Yes, there’s already an UP3. It’s kind of confusing.

The UP2 replaces the older UP24 with a smaller form factor and a design that matches the UP3. It monitors steps, sleep, distance, idle time, calories burned and meals, and offers a week of battery life.

The device pairs with Jawbone’s UP app via Bluetooth to track your workouts, learn your habits and encourage you to reach your fitness goals, using the new Smart Coach system.

The mid-range UP2 offers more features than the $50 entry-level Jawbone Move, but lacks a heart rate monitor and the payment capabilities of the UP4.

It goes on sale for $99 today in a Black Diamond finish on Jawbone’s site, as well as Best Buy and Amazon. Other colors are on the way, and the device will also be available internationally later this year.
