Here are the specs and pricing for Apple’s newly-updated MacBook Pro and MacBook Air

If you’ve been waiting for Apple to refresh its Mac line, today is going to be a good one for you. At the WWDC conference, we’ve gotten details about the company’s newest updates to its Mac, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air computers. Here’s what we know:

MacBook Air

The MacBook Air gets a notable bump up to a 512 GB SSD option. Otherwise, the specs are about what you’d bet on seeing with the new Ivy Bridge processors from Intel. Notable, however, is that you’ll have a “Turbo Boost” up to 3.2 GHz and 60% faster graphics. USB 3.0 makes an appearance for the first time, with both side ports being 3.0 compatible. The new Air will start shipping today.

  • 11-inch 1.7 GHz with 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB SSD, 2.0 GHz with 8 GB and 256 SSD, $999 and $1099
  • 13-inch 1.8 GHz with 4 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 SSD, 2.0 GHz with 8 GB and 512 SSD. Pricing drops $100 from the previous version.

MacBook Pro

The previous generation of MacBook Pro stays roughly the same, with spec updates. But then, there’s the new Pro…

The new MacBook Pro is thinner at 0.71-inches thick and under 4.6 pounds, with a much higher resolution display than the previous versions. Being billed, of course, as a Retina Display, the new model will carry a 2880×1800 resolution.

The SD slot stays, but HDMI makes an appearance. Dual Thunderbolt ports, USB 3 also come standard.
