Gmail for feature phones gets a redesign to make it easier and quicker to send and receive emails

Google has released an update to its Gmail service for feature phones geared towards improving the speed and usefulness of the app.

Released back in 2011, Gmail became available for feature phones simply by typing mail.google.com in the mobile browser. This would help make the email service available for those in developing countries in Africa and also hundreds of millions of people around the world.

Google says that the new version will make it easier for users to reply directly to messages from the thread view, move to other conversations, and more. The company set out to reduce the number of buttons it takes to press in order to craft and read an email.
