Three months after launching in the US, DOODAD is now offering global shipping of its data-only SIM card for international travelers .

The SIM card is free and shipping is a flat $3 worldwide. DOODAD works in 59 regions, five of which were added earlier this week: Afghanistan, Aruba, Hong Kong, Israel, and Japan. The company also recently reduced its rates in 29 European countries.

For the gadget-minded, landing in a country without functioning data is terrifying. I’ve lost track of the number of hours I’ve spent wandering around looking for Wi-Fi.

With DOODAD, you just pre-purchase data credits and you’ll be ready to go as soon as you arrive in country. Pricing ranges from $0.30 per MB to $1.20 per MB depending on the location.

“Data roaming is notoriously expensive, so it’s no surprise that people are looking for affordable ways to stay connected,” DOODAD Product Manager Ryan Cardone noted in a statement. “We started receiving requests from all over the world, which is why we prioritized the launch of international shipping.”

Here’s the full list of countries that DOODAD supports:

Afghanistan, Anguilla, Antigua&Barbuda, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Bulgaria, Canada, Cayman Islands, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark,Dominica, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana,Germany,Gibraltar,Greece, Grenada,Guadeloupe,Haiti,Hong Kong,Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel,Jamaica,Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique,Netherlands,Norway, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Samoa, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, St. Kitts&Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Sweden, Turks&Caicos, UK and USA.

Given the nominal shipping costs, there’s very little downside to ordering a DOODAD before you travel to another country. Even if you plan on buying a local SIM at your destination, you can use it to map your way to an operator store.
