While the Gulf spill is the worst in US history, there have been far larger, more catastrophic spills all over the world. As the spill has progressed, it has been documented and tracked by the new tools of the digital age.
A live stream has been playing for weeks, and an iPhone and Android applications have sprung up across those markets. Sadly, that sort of activity does little to plug the well. While we have seen and heard more from this spill than from perhaps any before it, in reagards to the full problem that fact changes little. Click on the image for a larger version.
