- 15 Piece alarm kit (and Amazon Echo Dot 3rd Gen)
Not long ago, getting your hands on a decent automated home security system was an almost impossible task – at least for those who didn’t have a few thousand dollars to burn.
Things are different now, and you can pick up a sophisticated home protection system for just a few hundred dollars. Take, for example, Ring’s 15-piece home security set, which is currently on sale on Amazon for $305.
So, what do you get for your hard-earned cash?
- One base station
- One smoke and carbon monoxide detector
- One keypad (to deactivate the system from within the home
- Seven contact sensors (to monitor the opening and closing of doors and windows)
- Two motion detectors
- One range extender (to increase the range of the base station)
- One flood and freeze sensor
- One panic button
In addition, this package includes the third-generation Echo Dot, allowing you to control all the pack’s components using your voice. This alone typically retails for $50 (although, at the time of writing, is going for $39.99).
You can also extend this pack with more parts. There’s a swathe of compatible Ring-branded gear, including the video doorbells that made the company famous, as well as video cameras and spotlights. These are all connected to your mobile device, so you can receive alerts from wherever you are in the world.
This is a bargain. The list price for this kit is $359, so you’re essentially getting 15 percent off. There’s no clue how long this deal will last though, so be quick. You can grab it here.
If you’re looking for a more video-focused security system, one option is Anker’s eufyCam E3 camera security system. Normally, this retails for $559.99, although at the time of writing is listed as $429.99. Using the code EUFYUBPL lowers that further to $399.99.
Not bad, eh?
