If you’re in India and have been hankering for a OnePlus One, tomorrow’s your chance to get your very own, no invite necessary.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is making its flagship device available on Amazon India at 10am for 24 hours, at the usual $350 price (Rs. 21,999).
The invite-free sale seems designed to undercut rival Xiaomi’s Mi 4, which is available in India from tomorrow on Flipkart.
Although the One currently ships with CyanogenMod OS 11, it will soon receive an update to OxygenOS, OnePlus’ own Android Lollipop fork. The company began working on its own build following a rift with Cyanogen Inc. over exclusive licensing of its software in India.
A release date for OxygenOS hasn’t yet been announced, but more details are expected on February 12.
