Back in November we reported that BSkyB’s Sky+ iOS app was getting remote control functionality – among other features such as a recording planner – a few months after the iPad incarnation was updated with similar features.
Now, the Android version of the app has also received the same Sky+ love, with swipe to rewind/fast forward/change channels, and tap to pause/play, very much the order of the day.
To use this new features, you will of course need a compatible Sky+HD box on the same network as your Android device.
Similar to the recent iOS updates, version 3.0 of the Android app also includes a new planner feature, which lets you view and organize your programme-watching activity, including making recordings and reminders.
The new Sky+ Android app is available to download now on Google Play.
