The BBC updated its iPlayer Radio for iOS and Android apps today with support for Playlister, a recently-launched service that lets users save the tracks they’re currently listening to and transfer them as a playlist to third-party services such as Spotify, Deezer and YouTube.
On any podcast or radio station, listeners will now see the Playlister icon – a small musical note with a plus symbol next to it – towards the bottom next to the track information and sharing options.
Once users are signed in with their BBC iD, they’ll then be able to save tracks to one of their curated lists and review them from the Playlister option under the More menu. From here, users can edit their saved tracks, discover presenter playlists and export them to their streaming platform of choice.
