Since the launch of the iPad we’ve reviewed quite a few apps here at The Next Web and we thought we’d share with you a round-up of few that we really liked in the spirit of Apple’s new commercial.

Flipboard has a core quality that makes it special: it turns noise into signal. Across several content sources, Flipboard is more than an aggregator, it is an improver of content. It sharpens the influx. The two social networks that are built into the device are prime examples of this.

Part of the iPad’s magic is about crisp graphics, a sense of manipulating real objects, smooth transitions and well thought-through animations. Twittelator has all of it. ..Stone Design, the folks behind Twittelator, not only invested a great amount of time in thinking through the user experience, they also focused a lot on little details.

By far The Early Edition is the prettiest and best RSS reader that has been released for iPad. Our own Zee Kane calls it “beautifully designed,” and “elegant.” Of course, all that bang is going to cost you a few dollars. Is it worth it? If you blog, you read. Anything that makes that more fun and simpler we are big fans of.

Photogene is a full featured, user-friendly photo-editor for the iPhone an iPod touch. This app is jam packed full of features like customizable backgrounds and stylized filters coupled with tools to crop, resize and rotate images. In fact, it offers so many features, I often use this app instead of firing up one of my robust desktop editors.
IM+

If you love instant messaging, a good IM client is a must and IM+, with support for Gtalk, Yahoo, MSN/Live Messenger, AIM/iChat, ICQ, Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, Jabber and Skype in one app. Coupled with its ability to run in the background while you do other things, this is the perfect choice for IM friends.

What we said:
The busier you are, the more organised you need to be. Evernote is a really good way of keeping the memos, notes, photos and documents you need all in one place that you can access anywhere. The iPad’s large screen works well for browsing and editing notes, and you can even browse location-tagged notes on a map.
TweetMag
Twitter Magazine
The design and features of TweetMag will appeal to anyone who uses Twitter a great deal and loves apps that are both visually appealing, and provide for curation of the information that matters to one the most. TweetMag is grand and is most definitely an app you’ll want to check out.
miCal HD

What we said:
miCal HD is a wonderful iPad calendar, task list, and more. Not only is the app a regular calendar, it can also be used for issuing reminders, allows for the adding of directions and is able to synchronize with numerous calendar programs.
Angry Birds HD
What we said:
It’s taken the world by storm this year and Angry Birds for iPad is just as good as on any other platform. The extra screen space provides a little more room to perfect your aim as you skillfully (or not) attack those evil pigs with waves of agitated avians.
