Apple’s iAd division now being run by former Adobe and Yahoo Exec Todd Teresi

Apple has tapped ex-Adobe executive Todd Teresi to run its iAd division, reports Bloomberg’s Adam Satariano. Recently, the division had been under the control of Eddy Cue, Apple’s Vice President of Internet Software and Services. Teresi has apparently already assumed his duties at Apple.

Teresi had been serving as Vice President and General Manager of Media Solutions at Adobe previous to this move. That position saw him in charge of Adobe products that provided “solutions for advertisers and publishers”, including the Adobe Online Marketing Suite and the Digital Publishing Suites.

Previous to Adobe, Teresi was with targeted advertising company Quantcast, where he served as CRO. He also served two years as Senior Vice President of Yahoo!’s Yahoo Publisher Network, its off-network ad business. That promotion came after Teresi spent almost 5 years as Vice President of Global Sales Operations for Yahoo!.

In September, an internal Apple email was published that indicated Eddy Cue was taking charge of the iAd program. Cue’s bio page at Apple still indicates his stewardship of the iAd program. In his new position, Teresi will be reporting to Cue.

The program, which was launched in July of 2010, was previously run by Quattro founder Andy Miller, who left Apple to join Highland Capital in August of last year. Apple had acquired Quattro after failing to obtain AdMob, which was snapped up by Google.

The ad network was designed to give advertisers a way to offer visually appealing ads to users of Apple’s iPhone, iPod touch and iPad products.

We have reached out to Apple for confirmation of this addition to the team.
