Android One devices arrive in the Philippines

Google’s Android One program, which aims to bring the latest version of Android on low-cost, yet capable devices, has reached the Philippines.

Two smartphones  — the Cherry One and the MyPhone Uno — will go on sale in a few weeks with Android Lollipop on board, as well as dual SIM support and a MicroSD card slot for additional storage.

In addition, these phones will support YouTube’s offline playback feature and come with special offers on data plans.

Android One previously launched in five other Asian countries, including India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia.
