Amazon’s LoveFilm has announced an updated version of its streaming app is arriving for Samsung Smart TVs and Blu-ray players.
The update brings star ratings, ‘More Like This’ titles and Watchlists, which lets users add videos to watch later – similar to what already exists on Netflix. It also includes an enhanced recommendations feature which is based on users’ recent viewing habits.
Today’s update mirrors what arrived for the Web-based version of the app last year, when LoveFilm announced it was getting a search makeover, before adding the Watchlist feature. This update was also added for PS3 users in May, followed by the Nintendo Wii in July.
The refreshed app is available to download from the Samsung SmartHub today, and applies to all devices manufactured in 2012 and 2013.
