Amazon Cloud Player lands on the Sonos Wireless HiFi System in the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany

Amazon has announced that Amazon Cloud Player is being made available on Sonos Wireless HiFi systems in France, Spain, Italy, Germany and the UK, meaning that Amazon MP3 users can listen to their music library throughout their home on their music system sans wires.

This comes more than a year after Amazon first announced integration with Sonos in the US, and will be welcome news for music fans in Europe.

Amazon Cloud Player has been available in Europe since September 2012, when it arrived in the UK, France and Germany simultaneously. Thus far, it’s been accessible on the Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD, Android smartphones, iOS, Mac and PC. And given that AutoRip arrived in the UK earlier this year too, users there can buy a CD or record from Amazon.co.uk and listen to it through their home stereo system within minutes.

All Amazon purchases and the first 250 imported songs are stored for free, with users able to import up to 250,000 songs, which will cost €24.99 per year.
