Sweet sound of music: Amazon Cloud Player now available on the Sonos Wireless HiFi System

Amazon this morning announced that Cloud Player users can now stream music wirelessly on the Sonos Wireless HiFi System.

It was earlier available for Kindle Fire, Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, Mac and PC.

Steve Boom, VP of Digital Music for Amazon, says customers have been asking the company to add Sonos to the list of compatible Cloud Player devices ever since its debut, and promises support for more devices and platforms “later this year”.

Cloud Player lets people store their personal music in the cloud and play it on a fairly wide range of devices. Amazon doesn’t say how many people use Cloud Player, but says it has “millions of customers” already.

The company lets people import up to 250,000 songs for $24.99 per year, but the service remains available exclusively to US customers for now.
