Adobe is gearing up as we speak for its event of the year: Adobe MAX, the company’s annual Creativity Conference. It’s a huge gathering of artists, designers, photographers, filmmakers, audio experts and Web developers who will spend three days sharing experiences and learning more about creative tools and processes.
Look for a brand new addition to TypeKit, a new mobile app, improvements to CreativeSync and Adobe Stock, more desktop touch capabilities, plus a brand new mystery coming for desktop and mobile UX design.
While the crowd, which will converge in downtown Los Angeles, tends toward the pro end of the spectrum, over time, the conference has also seen interest from all kinds of design and photography enthusiasts to make the gathering mix more diverse.
There will be high-level pre-conference attendee sessions this weekend, but the public portion of the program will center around two major keynotes taking place on Monday and Tuesday, accompanied by a series of classes and sessions lasting through Wednesday.
Day One Keynote takes place on Monday, at 9:30 PST, which Adobe will use as a platform to unveil brand new innovations to its creative desktop and mobile apps. Demos will trace the workflow evolution around its signature offering Creative Cloud, technologies like Creative Sync, Adobe Stock and more.
The keynote will be live streamed right here on TNW on Monday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am PST.
Day Two Keynote takes place the next day from 10 am to 11:30 am, and will focus on creative leaders discussing their process and evolution, including film director Baz Luhrmann; ‘Humans of New York’ founder and photographer Brandon Stanton; writer and illustrator Maira Kalman; and artist, designer and author Elle Luna.
Anticipation builds up for the Tuesday evening signature event: a series of Sneak Peeks, where Adobe previews its newest pre-release technologies. Eventually, videos of all the new stuff will appear on Adobe’s site, but conference participants will get the heads-up.

From Monday through Wednesday, back-to-back sessions with hands-on Adobe experts share how-tos, perspectives, best practices and more in five tracks: Creative Careers, Digital Publishing, Graphic Design and Illustration, Photography and Creative Imaging, Video and Web & App Design.
Key speakers throughout the conference include Adobe’s senior creative director and all-around ambassador Russell Brown, Photoshop senior product manager Zorana Gee, Facebook’s Josh Higgins, Pinterest’s Susan Kare, artist Bert Monroy, photographer Moose Peterson and many others.
