4 million users on, Contacts+ takes its popular contact-managment app to iPhone

4 million users on, Contacts+ takes its popular contact-managment app to iPhone

Contacts+, the Palo Alto-based company behind the popular Android app of the same name, has launched its popular contacts app for iPhone.

Following its relaunch on Android six months ago after a sizable seed round of funding, the service has garnered around four million users, and an iPhone incarnation was always on the cards.

When you first install the Contacts+ app, it will ask to sync with your Facebook account, populating your contacts with their relevant profile pictures. You can then find your contacts using a text-based search or a dialer, which provides a predictive search of names and numbers. You can press and hold on a contact’s photo to make a call, and even prioritize your contacts by importance rather than alphabetically.

Additionally, Contacts+ creates groups automatically based on who you interact with most – though this of course can be manually performed. The automated smart groups feature is unique to the iPhone version.

As with other similar apps out there such as Sync.me, Contacts+ can reel in additional information for your contacts from other third-party services to synchronize their information, covering Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and more. Contacts+ is a graduate of the UpWest Labs Silicon Valley Accelerator that works with Israeli entrepreneurs.
