You may or may not know that Mozilla and the Knight Foundation have been partnering since 2011, with a view towards shaping the future of journalism through technology. In 2012, OpenNews came to light, a rebrand of sorts of the existing Knight-Mozilla News Technology Partnership.
Now, for the fourth year running, Mozilla has announced that applications are open for the 2015 Knight-Mozilla OpenNews Fellowships.
Fellows are anyone who loves coding, and they’ll spend 10 months doing just that while trying to fix problems within journalism while embedded in a bona fide newsroom. Some big-name news brands are on board again, including The New York Times, The Guardian, and the The Washington Post.
