Tech5 Recap: These are Europe’s fastest-growing startups

The 2015 edition of Tech5 has officially come to a close.

Starting in February, we at The Next Web, working with our partners Adyen, began a hunt for Europe’s fastest-growing young tech startups. In six participating countries we selected the top contenders and invited them to TNW Conference Europe to share their experiences on stage in two panel discussion sessions.

Last week we wrapped up this year’s competition by announcing the overall European Tech5 winner at the conference: Fairphone. The social enterprise won the Tech5 event in the Netherlands back in March. The two-year growth rate it boasts puts Fairphone squarely at the top as Europe’s fastest-growing startup.

Here are all of the country winners in order of their final ranking, based on growth:

YPlan allows users to browse through a curated shortlist of the best events in town every night and book in just two taps.


Freespee

Freespee (Sweden)

Freespee is a software-as-a-service platform that turns consumer voice interactions into useful and accessible data.


uplike

Uplike (France)

Uplike is a social mobile application for discovering and sharing interests in a simple manner with your friends, family and the rest of the world.

 

A special mention goes out to the winner of the wildcard vote, Festicket (UK), voted to the stage by the public!
