If a deal goes through, consumers on pay-TV would be able to access Hulu Plus via their cable set-top boxes and catch up on entire current seasons of broadcast TV shows. Hulu is currently in early discussions with these pay-TV companies including Comcast and Time Warner, the WSJ cites unnamed sources as saying.

With this move, Hulu is hoping to compete with bigger streaming services such as Netflix, which offers past seasons of shows too. Last month, it was revealed that Netflix was in talks with several pay-TV providers, as it seeks to make its on-demand streaming service available as an app on set-top boxes.
