Microsoft’s least portable tablet ever: 27ft wide and 17ft tall Surface 2 lands in central London

Surface 10

Love them or hate them, Microsoft’s new Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets might not be the slimmest on the market, but they’re a whole lot more portable than this 27ft wide and 17ft tall Surface 2 that just touched down in Trafalgar Square in London today.

Put in place to celebrate the launch of the new devices, Microsoft also roped in British rapper Dizzee Rascal to come along and use the super-sized tablet, which is semi-functional thanks to the mock-up Touch Cover keyboard, which is connected to an actual Surface 2 and then relayed to the display.

Although it’s clearly designed as a marketing ploy designed to draw attention from the thousands of tourists and commuters that flock into central London each day, if you happen to be in the area, you might want to check it out – it’s not every day you get to see a nearly 30ft tablet.
