HTCSense.com goes live, now accepting signups

Last month HTC hosted a launch event at Old Billingsgate Market in London to unveil its two latest Android smartphones, the Desire HD and Desire Z.

Also announced at the event was HTC’s new online service – HTCSense.com, a cloud-based service that backs up contacts, messages and media as well as providing the functionality to remotely locate lost HTC devices and lock them if they were stolen.

When it was unveiled, HTCSense.com was inaccessible, protected by a password, presumably so that the staff at the event would be able to demonstrate functionality without giving away any extra details. Today, HTC have pushed the portal live and are accepting registrations from all HTC customers, however only Desire HD and Desire Z owners will be able to make use of the cloud features as they are the only two phones that are able to officially support them.
