Microsoft’s final keynote at CES was certainly memorable but perhaps not for reasons that you might think.
The weirdness kicked off when CEO Steve Ballmer was joined by Ryan Seacrest for a series of gags and discussions. Seacrest’s seemingly innocuous question asking what Microsoft was planning next was met by “Metro…metro…metro” from Ballmer, in his typically offbeat style.
But by far the strangest part came from a Twitter choir, which sang out tweets that mentioned Windows Phone devices.
This choir is immortalised in the video. It is certainly likely to get Microsoft more attention as we’ve not seen anything like it before…and hopefully we won’t for some while.
Microsoft has been criticised for the keynote that was perceived to be light on content, but it did make a significant announcement in revealing that its Kinect accessories will be available for Windows from February.
But, that is likely to be forever overshadowed by the choir.
