O2 customers will get new Channel 4 shows early when 4oD relaunches as All 4

O2 customers will get new Channel 4 shows early when 4oD relaunches as All 4

Channel 4 is relaunching its catch-up and on-demand service 4oD as All 4 on March 30 and when it does, O2 customers are getting a big advantage – new shows 48 hours before everyone else.

The network has been teasing the overhaul through its existing 4oD apps for some time. From Monday, the Web and iOS apps will be updated to All 4.

Other platforms will have to wait until later in the year, a delay that will be especially galling to Android owners who only got a native app in 2013.

All4 will split Channel 4’s offerings into three sections – On Demand (for catch-up and its back catalog), Now (featuring live streams of the network’s channels) and On Soon (offering previews of forthcoming shows).
