Cleaning startup Helpling expands to the Middle East and Asia Pacific, acquires competitor Spickify

Helpling, the Germany-based on-demand household cleaning service, is now launching its service in Singapore, Australia and the UAE. The company opened shop in Berlin only a year ago and has since arrived in 11 more countries.

Helpling’s expansion is aided by its acquisition of Singapore-based rival Spickify, whose founder Hoe Yeen Teck will oversee operations in the country.

New York, are you ready?

We’re building Momentum: an all killer, no filler event this November.

Helpling is already active in Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. Today’s announcement follows the company’s roll-out in Europe and Southern America and a $17 million funding round secured in December.

It launched its own mobile apps in August last year to make it easier for customers to booking cleaning services.
