EyeEm today announced the acquisition of Sight.io, a company building computer vision technology for ranking photos based on how beautiful they are.

Sight.io didn’t go into specifics on what the team will work on at EyeEm, but it did promise that “a lot of the core principles and technology built over the past few years at Sight.io will make an appearance on EyeEm.”

EyeEm recently launched redesigns of its iOS and Android apps with a new interface that places greater focus on your photos.
