6Wunderkinder, the maker of the popular Wunderlist task management app, has acquired the technology behind messaging service Moped and the service will shut it down on December 31. As part of the deal, existing Moped users can claim a free month of Wunderlist Pro.
So. Much. Tech.
Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.
Berlin-based Moped had raised $1 million from Germany’s Earlybird Ventures, Lerer Ventures, SV Angel and Betaworks last year.
The acquisition allows us to further cement Wunderlist as the one place to host all communication around your to-dos, whether it be real time conversations, files, notes or assigned tasks.
UPDATE: This story has been updated to clarify that 6Wunderkinder has acquired the source code behind Moped and is not responsible for the decision to shut it down.
