Microsoft’s Xbox One will launch in China for $599 on September 23

Microsoft’s Xbox One will arrive in China on September 23. The video game console will be available for ¥3,699 RMB ($599 USD) and confirmed launch titles include Forza Motorsport 5, Kinect Sports Rivals, Powerstar Golf, Zoo Tycoon and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood.

The date aligns with the console’s release in other Asia markets. The Xbox One will go on sale in Hong Kong, India, Singapore and Taiwan on the same day, opening the system up to a huge number of potential players.

Microsoft is able to release the Xbox One in China as the result of a lifting of a 13-year ban back in January. The console will be sold through the Shanghai Free Trade Zone; each unit will include free access to Xbox Live Gold through to March 2015 and the “BesTV entertainment experience.” A Special Edition Pack will also come with a copy of Powerstar Golf and Neverwinter Online.
