Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox One will go on sale in its first wave of countries in Asia — Hong Kong, India, Singapore and Taiwan — from September 23.
Customers in these places will be able to buy the regular Xbox One system — complete with the Xbox One console — as well as the Kinect-powered version. Each customer will receive a free Xbox One Wireless Controller and a 14-day trial of the Xbox Live Gold subscription service, as is the case in Western markets.
Both Korea and Japan are notable absentees from the list, and will likely get the console at the same time as other Asian markets later this year.
We’re checking in with Microsoft to get confirmed pricing for each country and other market launch dates. We’ll update this post with any new details that we’re given.
